This policy is written in plain language to explain what information ArmWeb handles, why it is needed, when it may be shared, and what choices you have. It applies when you browse the site, create or use an account, contact support, or use interactive features. It should be read together with any separate terms or notices shown for a particular feature.

Depending on how you use ArmWeb, information may include: account details such as username and email; password hashes (the site does not need your readable password); profile information you choose to provide, such as avatar, biography, date of birth, region, and education details; Google account identifiers and basic profile details if you choose Google sign-in; comments, forum posts and replies, quiz activity, messenger messages and attachments, support conversations, and information in forms you submit; promo-code redemption and Premium status; language, theme, consent choices and security settings; and technical data such as IP address and browser/request details available to the site or its hosting provider. The site also records page paths and pseudonymous session/visitor identifiers for basic traffic and content-view statistics.
We use information to create and administer accounts; authenticate users, verify email addresses, recover access and protect accounts; display profiles and user-submitted material; deliver news, lessons, quizzes, forums and messaging; respond to requests and support cases; administer Premium access and promo codes; send account, security and service emails; remember language, theme and other settings; moderate content and investigate reports; prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors and understand basic site usage. We do not use a password in readable form.
Depending on the feature and the law that applies, information is handled because it is needed to provide a service you request or perform account-related steps, because you choose to provide or publish it, because you give a specific consent, to protect users and the service from abuse and security incidents, or to meet a legal requirement. Where a feature relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent through the relevant setting or by contacting us; withdrawal does not undo processing that already took place lawfully.
Some material is intended to be visible to other visitors, including public comments, forum topics and replies, and profile information displayed by the site. Do not publish information you want to keep private. Other users may copy, save, or share material that is publicly available. Private messenger and support conversations are not public, but authorized staff may access them for service, moderation, support, or investigation purposes as described here.
The site relies on infrastructure and email delivery providers to host pages, store data, and send messages. If you choose Google sign-in, Google processes information under its own privacy terms. If you use the AI support feature, the text you submit to that feature may be sent to Google’s AI service to generate a reply; avoid entering passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information there. A third-party payment provider may process payment details if a payment flow is offered. These providers act under their own terms and privacy notices; their exact role depends on the feature used. We do not sell personal information.
We may preserve, review, and disclose information available to us to competent government or law-enforcement authorities when required by a lawful and binding request, or when permitted or required by applicable law. This may be necessary, for example, to report or investigate suspected unlawful activity or a security incident, or to protect users, the rights of others, or the security of the service. We disclose only information relevant to the request or lawful purpose. Where the law permits, we may notify the affected user of such a request or disclosure.
ArmWeb and its technical providers may process information in countries other than the country where you are located. Cross-border processing depends on the providers and infrastructure used for a feature. Where applicable, we will use the safeguards required by the law governing that processing. ArmWeb uses a session cookie to keep requests in the same signed-in session and security-related browser storage for features such as consent. Language and theme preference cookies are set for up to seven days. For anonymous content-view counting, the site may set a random, HttpOnly visitor identifier with a one-year expiry; it is not your name or email. The site also uses browser storage for selected interface preferences. You can clear or block cookies and browser storage in your browser, but sign-in, saved preferences, or some features may then stop working. Your browser may separately receive cookies from third-party services you choose to use.
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose described above: account data while the account is active; content until you or an authorized moderator removes it or the account is handled; and support, security, consent, and technical records for as long as needed to respond, investigate, maintain the service, or meet legal requirements. Temporary verification and recovery codes have an expiry and are cleared when used or replaced. There is no single fixed deletion period for every category. Backups, provider logs, or records needed for a dispute or legal obligation may remain for a limited additional period.
We use measures intended to limit access and protect accounts and systems, including password hashing, session controls, role-based staff access, and technical safeguards. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your password private, use a unique password, sign out on shared devices, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may be able to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the use of your personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. You can edit many profile and preference details yourself, and can request help with information that cannot be changed through the site. We may need to verify your identity before acting and may retain information where the law permits or requires it.
You can start account deletion in Settings → Delete account, or contact us if you cannot sign in. Account deletion is not necessarily an immediate erasure of every record: content may remain where needed for moderation, security, a legal obligation, or the rights of another person, and technical backups may take time to expire. Where a record is retained, we will limit its use to the reason it must remain, where practicable.
If you are under the age at which you can consent to online data processing in your location, use the site with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian where required. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us to discuss access or deletion. We do not ask users to post sensitive personal details publicly.
We may revise this policy when the site, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If a change materially affects how existing account data is handled, we will take steps appropriate to the change and the law, which may include a notice on the site or a request to review the updated terms.
